Le Studio GGSV invite Liu Bolin
Pour ce deuxième acte, le célèbre artiste chinois Liu Bolin, surnommé « l’Homme invisible », vient se dissimuler dans l’installation Galerie Party. Lors de l’inauguration de l’Acte II. Il réalise devant le public l’une de ses emblématiques photographies-performances qui lui permet de se dissimuler par mimétisme dans l’environnement, grâce à une combinaison peinte à la main.
Studio GGSV welcomes Liu Bolin
In this second act, famous Chinese artist Liu Bolin, aka “The Invisible Man”, hides somewhere in the exhibition. At the inauguration of Act II, he made one of his emblematic photographs-performances that allows him to conceal himself by mimicry in the environment, thanks to a combination hand-painted.
« Nous avons choisi d’inviter Liu Bolin pour la nature engagée de son travail et plus particulièrement pour la subtilité avec laquelle il attire notre regard sur l’état des choses. L’examen de ses photographies suscite une pointe d’émerveillement car il y a quelque chose de magique dans l’effet de disparition. C’est ce qui permet aux enfants d’accéder à son art et aux dimensions extra ordinaires qu’il convoque.
La conjonction de la peinture dans son état brut et de la photographie illusionniste est à l’origine de l’installation conçue pour cet acte II. Nous avons complètement modifié l’espace en le recouvrant de motifs peints à la main et avons imaginé des costumes imprimés aux motifs de l’installation. Les enfants peuvent composer des déguisements mimétiques qui leurs donnent le pouvoir d’apparaître et de disparaître selon les lieux et les positions. L’espace devient alors un gigantesque jeu d’illusions. »

« For this second act of Galerie Party, we chose to invite Liu Bolin for the committed nature of his work and especially for the subtlety with which he draws our attention to the way things are. The examination of his photographs provokes a sort of amazement because there is something magical in the effect of disappearance. This is what allows children – among others – to access his art and the extra ordinary dimensions that it carries.
The conjunction of painting in its raw state and of illusionist photography is the origin of the installation designed for this act II. We entirely modified the space by covering it with hand-painted patterns that disturb perception. We imagined costumes printed with the installation’s motifs. Thus, children can compose mimetic outfits that give them the power to appear and disappear according to places and positions. The space becomes a gigantic playground of illusion. »

Les enfants peuvent assembler des pièces de tissus, imprimées aux motifs de l’installation, pour composer des déguisements mimétiques.
Children can assemble pieces of fabric, printed on the grounds of the installation, to compose mimetic disguises.
L’espace est recouvert de motifs peints à la main.

Les photographies se succèdent par morphing et interfèrent les thèmes de la nature, de l’environnement et des objets de surconsommation. Habillés de combinaisons blanches, les enfants se camouflent grâce aux projections sur le sol de la Galeroom des photographies de Liu Bolin.
On the Galeroom’s floor, pictures succeed one another by morphing. They interfere with shapes: nature, environment and objects of overconsumption. White overalls allow children to camouflage themselves and play with projections on the floor of the Galeroom of Liu Bolin’s pictures.
