“Asymmetric lines, unstructured volumes: Clou is a real snub to our traditional perception of the console. Designed by the young French designer Gaëlle Gabillet, this astonishing console in solid oak (L 140 cm) consists of three unstructured planes which seem to float above the ground in a suspended equilibrium. The whole defies gravity and gives the impression of a familiar strangeness. Clou surprises with its lightness and great delicacy. Its elegance oscillates between sculpture and furniture, thwarting proportions and classic codes. Its presence, both minimal and expressive, comes to animate the forgotten spaces of the house. »
